Neil Ross graduated with honours in Mathematics from Edinburgh
University in 1981 and trained in accountancy with a top four accounting firm
before qualifying as a Scottish Chartered Accountant in 1985.
After a further year in public practice, specialising in personal and capital taxes,
he then spent nine years in charge of private client taxation with a major
investment company.
After moving back into public practice in 1996,
he set up his own firm in 1998 to provide a personal service to private clients covering
tax advice and the preparation of annual tax returns.
This has since been extended to include capital tax planning, such as advice on
inheritance tax mitigation.
Mrs Heather Clydesdale joined the firm in August 2000 and has since gained
a recognised tax qualification.
We aim to be pro-active in giving advice to ensure that clients benefit from our
understanding of the tax rules. From an initial base of 200 clients,
the firm has grown steadily so that we now advise over 350, mainly individuals
and trustees.
We are delighted with the way the firm has expanded and
are always willing to entertain new clients.
